Baritone, Marco Vassalli is currently performing in Gottfried Greiffenhagen & Franz Wittenbrink’s The Comedian Harmonists at the Theater Osnabrück in Germany. He will be joining Musica Marin fresh from his run in Leonard Bernstein’s Candide at the Hannover State Opera. He studied at the famed Hochschule für Musik in Cologne with the great soprano Edda Moser and had gone on to perform with the Eutiner Festival, Bern Symphony, Cologne Philharmonic and opera companies in Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Gera, Gelsenkirchen and Überlingen. From September 2006 to August 2012 he was a member of the ensemble at the Städtischen Bühnen Osnabrück. Some of his roles include Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Count Almaviva in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème and Pelleas in Debussy’s Pelleas et Melisande. He is also a gifted exponent of German operetta.
